Desktop Icons

I have some Desktop Icons (Windows XP Home Edition) that
have changed themselves to look like Barcodes..... One
was MS Work, ver. 4.5a, another is Arcsoft Funhouse,
Ulead Photo Express, MS Calender, Afterburner Media
Program..... Any idea why this would have happened, and
how I can Change them back? Thanks....
 
Try control-panel,display,desktop,customize,chk the box,lock desktop items
To convert them back,R.click the icon,customize,change icon.
