S Sandman Jun 25, 2004 #2 Have you tried right clicking the open area of the desktop and clicking 'refresh'.....Also check your Quick launch bar (if you use it, it would be showing an icon that sez, Show desktop" when you mouse over it.

S Sandman Jun 25, 2004 #3 I apologize, the 'show desktop' only brings the desktop in front of whatever is open on your screen. it has nothing to do with your problem....
