Desktop Icons

i've had a new computer with XP home edition since around october of last year.....it has been working without a hitch until just this last week.......i have a fair bit of shortcuts on my desktop and for some reason now ( twice this last week ) they will move from where i placed them after playing a game online........don't have a clue except they seem to concentrate back into one corner as if they were on a smaller resolution screen......any ideas what i can do to stop this from happening?? thanx

Try rt clicking on the desktop, and at the top of the menu, "Arrange Icons",
and see what you have checked...

i have "align to grid" checked and "show desktop icons" also is checked which i have never changed but should i have something else there checked instead?

I know exactly what you mean, I have my icons arranged a certain way but
after exiting some games they end up in the corner. some games arrange them
kind of vertical, while others horizontal, like screen resolution settings
or something. no idea how to fix it
