I would like to change the default colour of my desktop icon text. Can anyone
help please?

The choice you have is either black or white,
depending on your wallpaper color.

You can't. If your desktop is a dark color, the text is white. If
your desktop is a light color, the text is black.

Hi Paul,

By default in XP, it can't be manually changed. The text changes on its own
from dark to light depending on the color of the background. It is based on
the Desktop color not the Wallpaper. The combo is whether or not you are
using a Wallpaper and what the Desktop color is.

There is no provision, other than between black and white with shadows
The latter if in Control Panel - System - Advanced - Performance in
Settings click Advanced you have 'Use drop shadows under icon titles'
selected
