Desktop icon for IE removed..

I have accidentally removed my desktop IE icon and I want
to get it back :) Knowing that it is not a normal shortcut
and wondering anyone knows what I should do..

If you mean that Show Desktop icon on quick launch, try this:

Create text file "Show Desktop.scf" into folder "c:\documents and
settings\<userid>\application data\microsoft\internet explorer\quick
launch". Put your username in place of <userid>. Or you can right click
quick launch bar and select open folder. Then create new text document and
rename it to "Show Desktop.scf".

Now uset notepad and insert following lines to that file:

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop
 
Hi Irin,

In Control Panel > Internet Options, on the Advanced tab, there is an option you can
enable to "Show Internet Explorer on the desktop".
