Win XP Home: I create a shortcut to a network share on
another machine. I double click the shortcut icon and it
works just once. Then, for some reason the target of F:
spontaneously changes to \\SERVER\Documents, which is the
same location, but Windows says it cannot find it. Anyone
know what's going on?

I had a similar problem but it caused Explorer to crash. Try deleting the
shortcut and experimenting with the way you create it. I think in my case
opening My Computer and drilling down to the folder and creating the
shortcut that way solved the problem.
