I found that pictures I have downloaded from web sites are now included in my
selection of images for Desktop backgrounds. How did this happen and how do I
delete them from this application?

Where are you saving the files to? Windows lists the files located in \Windows\Web. You can remove the files from there to clear
out the dialog box, and make sure to save somewhere else next time (Windows will remember where you saved and default to that
location for subsequent saves.)

Bottom line: Storing a large number of image files in your My
Pictures folder makes changing your wallpaper a real chore.

Good luck

I have the same problem, how to do, I am worried, it slows my PC.

Thanks for your help! Your article link provided the solution. Any picture
saved in "My Pictures" will automatically be included in Desktop Background
options. To remove them, I created a new file (i.e. Photography) and moved
the images from My Pictures to the new file. All were deleted from my Desktop
Background images.

Any image saved to "My Pictures" for some reason automatically gets included
as Desktop Background image options. I created a new file, "Photography" for
my downloaded images and moved the pics from My Pictures to this file. It
worked. All the unwanted images were also removed from my background images
options.

You're welcome.
