DESKTOP and when typing email if deleting something it deletes the whole email

help please i have somehow managed to delete some of my
desk top icons also

when i was typing an email recently it told me that i had
held down some button for * seconds cannot remember what
eh button was but now have problems with emails in the
fact thqt if i go back tgo correct one it deletes the
whole thing< hence thr spelling mistakes in this mail>

hewkp please it is driving me mad
 
check your recycle bin for the missing desktop icons..as far as the rest goes, try a system restore..
