Hello,

Is there a way I can have only our company website appear on the screen and
block out all other access to the desktop and menu items? We are trying to
create a service for our customer that can walk up to a computer within our
office and look up their accounts and other business related issues through
our company website. We are concernd about security issues. I've seen this
process available at banks when looking up personal banking information. Can
someone assist? Your assistance would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Let me get you started in a direction that may pay off. I've never tried
this myself, but I think it would work. Meanwhile, folks more knowledgeable
on these matters will probably chime in with better ideas.

In IE, if you go to Tools>Internet options>Content, there are ways to block
sites. It seems to me that if you made your company's site the only
"approved" site and blocked everything else, you may be headed to where you
want to get.

A user probably would still be able to close out IE and get to the desktop.
But then I guess if you created a user log-in with very limited access, you
probably could prevent the user from accessing much other than IE.

Keep in mind, this is not bulletproof security. A savvy user, if given
enough time, probably could get that terminal to do more than what you tried
to limit it to.

I'm sure others will have better ideas.

Set up a kiosk style machine and use group policy to disable what you
don't want users accesing.
You will find plenty of usefull material on Technet describing this
[sorry don't have any links to give you]
