Desk top picture settings...

Got a new computer. Had backed everything to install on new laptop. Went to
set up desk top picture, was surprised to find all my other personal pictures
somehow made their way into my desk top picture options. Anyway to delete
these?
 
Moving pictures to new folder worked, however, when I move them back to
original folder, My Pictures, the pictures go right back to the desk top
pictures. Is there away to have the pictures in My Pictures, not show up in
the list of background options under display, desktop? Is there a setting in
my new computer that can be changed to prevent this?

No, when you move them back they are displayed. Don't move them back.
