Design Template Trouble, PPT2000

I'm trying to put an image into a design template. I
Insert Image from file, then save as a POT. When I go to
apply the design template, it applies the colors, but the
image is nowhere to be found. How do I go about saving an
image in a POT? Does it have to be a specific format? I
have tried BMP, JPG, and GIF, and had no luck yet.

You need to insert the image onto the Slide Master or Title Master, not a
normal slide.
