I'm getting this strange error:
The object with ID 203 was referenced in a fixup but does not exist.

I get different numbers depending on the file I'm trying to deserialize.

Any idea what it means?

Hi Joe,

Could you show us your class definition and your
serialization/deserialization code? So that maybe we can try to repro here
on my computer. Also does this always happen?

Note: The MSDN Managed Newsgroup support offering is for non-urgent issues
where an initial response from the community or a Microsoft Support

up response may take approximately 2 business days as the support
professional working with you may need further investigation to reach the
most efficient resolution. The offering is not appropriate for situations
that require urgent, real-time or phone-based interactions or complex
project analysis and dump analysis issues. Issues of this nature are best
handled working with a dedicated Microsoft Support Engineer by contacting

The problem had something to do with our surrogate we were using. I no
longer need the surrogate so everything seems to work fine.
