i run microsoft antispyware and every time it raches the
registry key hklm/system/controlset001/services/delprot
it freezes ad forces me to turn the system off. Is
anyone else experiencing this. I think it has something
to do with iSearch toolbar. i ran the uninstaller for it
but it does absolutely nothing.

This is what I would suggest:

1) restart in safe mode and do a full, deep scan with Microsoft Antispyware.
If that doesn't do the job, check, using the system explorers (tools,
advanced tools) in Microsoft Antispyware, on both the running processes CA
lists, and the autorun reference.

Stop those processes if they are running, and block or permanently block the
autorun reference.

Then let's see if Microsoft Antispyware can deal with it from there.
