I have a Dell Dimension XPST800 with 256meg ecc ram running fully patched
Win98SE. Should I upgrade it to Win XP Pro? The Upgrade Advisor only shows
minor issues, Dell said no, MS seems to think yes.

Thanks,

Ron

Your PC will run XP fine. I'd suggest more memory, however, PC100 RAM can
be expensive now. I have a T400 running XP with 386Mb RAM and it is fine
for normal business apps and web browsing. I also have a T400 upgraded to
1GIG with 768Mb RAM running Win2K server and MS Exchange Server.

One Note: I seem to remember about a problem with XP and some older Turtle
Beach sound cards that were sometimes included in the XPST PCs.
