Delivery Receipt Failure

When requesting a delivery receipt the receipt is not
being sent to the recipient, and/or, recipients server.
Am testing by e-mailing request to myself. I experience
failure to receive back a delivery receipt, or even
a "bounce back". Earthlink is ISP.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
 
Many ISPs will not send delivery receipts, because to do so would provide
information concerning the validity of addresses to spammers. I don't know
whether Earthlink is one of those ISPs, but my guess is you simply won't be
able to rely on delivery receipts through an ISP.
