I have a user who has an Excel 2000 SS which prompts her with this message
when she opens it, "The workbook you opened contains automatic links to
information in another workbook. Do you want to update this workbook?"

She doesn't want this prompt to come up at all. We can't seem to be able to
turn off this linking message. What can I do to not have to hit 'No' all
the time?

Thanks,

John

If you want the links to be updated, but you don't want to be prompted with the
message, you can:

tools|Options|Edit Tab
uncheck the "ask to update automatic links"

This is a setting that affects all the workbooks opened by that user (and no one
else).
