Deletion of files in temp folder

Under 'documents and settings' under my account name in the 'local
setting/temp' folder are hundreds of folders/files, some containing .exe
files and even a folder with dozens of True Type fonts. My question - is it
safe to delete all the folders/files that reside in this Temp folder.

Some program/software/driver installs use that Temp folder, or create
subfolders in that Temp folder to extract the files for the program before
actually installing it. Most software cleans up after itself during
installs, and deletes the temporary files that were created. Alas, some
software doesn't. So anything in that Temp folder (not the Temporary
Internet Files folder, just the Temp folder) and its subfolders, can be
deleted.
