Recently I received an e-mail that wasn't marked as porn.
It just showed the message "this message is for you." I
clicked on it and it took me almost an hour to click all
the stupid porn sites off my computer. Little did I know
that they would keep coming back. I've tried deleting
them by clicking Internet Options, and deleting them. But
they come right back. How do I get them off my computer
and keep them off? HELP!!! I'm desperate!!!

Hi,

Oops - that wasn't the right thing to do now was it?

1) Install and run Adaware from www.lavasoft.de

2) Install and run Spybot from www.safer-networking.org

3) Install and run Spyware Blaster from
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

4) Turn on the native firewall or install a third-party one (a third party
firewall will notify you of outgoing traffic as spyware programs "phone
home", the native one won't).

In addition, if you switch to OE, one to post to and from and the other to
protect yourself from this happening.

In addition to installing Ad-Aware (consider the paid version so you
can actively block spyware) I would also use
HijackThis!(http://tomcoyote.com/hjt/). Hijack this will list all
browser related add-ins which the porn sites may have added. I would
also use AVG (anti-virus) from grisoft.com. It contains an excellent
Outlook express plug in to scan email for viruses and trojans.
