Hi, I'm new to using a PC and need a bit of help, please.
I'm trying to deleted some unwanted files and I'm getting
the following message "Cannot delete (unwanted file name)
Access is denied. Make sure this disk is not full or
write protected and that the file is not in use"

The disk is not full; I don't know how to find out if the
disk is write protected; the file is not in use.

So, how how do I find out if the disk is write protected
and how to I change it, please? Any help you can offer
would be most appreciated.

Many thanks, Mike. UK-based computer virgin!

Right mouse click on the file in Explorer and check the permissions.
Your ID needs to have the "rights" to delete the file.

You can read all about permissions in the "System Administration" tab in
"Help".
