Deleting unused files

No longer use AOL but have found numerous files when I do a search for files and folders putting in AOL. Can I safely delete all these files or will they harm my computer if I do. Believe AOL came with the computer

After removing the program AOL, you can safely remove left behind folders in
such places as "Program Files", or any desktop shortcuts which MAY have been
left behind.
