Text Ground

I'm using Word 2007, and sometimes I'll press and hold the BackSpace key -
the cursor moving quickly backwards and deleting text as it moves.

But sometimes while I'm doing that, the surrounding text becomes bolder in
appearance, and when I release the BackSpace key, and stop deleting text,
then the surrounding text returns to its usual appearance.

Maybe Word isn't working correctly on my computer?

I've been checking and unchecking boxes in the advanced section, but still
haven't been able to stop this thing from happening.

Thanks for any ideas on how to stop it.

I forgot to mention - this thing is happening inside a text box, which is
filled with a texture. Maybe it's nothing to worry about, but I'd sort of
like to stop it, if possible. Although, I don't know, maybe it's good for
this to happen. :)

What I really care about is whether my documents are getting corrupted in
some way. Everything else seems to be working fine, so maybe it's OK.

As long as my documents aren't getting corrupted. Everything else seems to
be working fine, so maybe it's OK.

Please look at the replies in your "Strange Thing" thread instead of
posting the same question in a new thread.

OK, sorry about that.

Also, the reason I posted 2 replies in this thread,
is that I didn't think my first reply went through
- I got a "service temporarily out" message after trying to post the first
reply, but it ended up going through anyway.
