Deleting search list

Could someone tell me how to delete the list of words in the search list.
When I use the search function from the start button it saves all the words I
search for. How can I delete these. They seem to keep growing.
 
Hi pdschultz77,

Open Notepad. Copy the following lines (everything that is between the
*****s, but don't copy the *****s) and then paste them into Notepad:

[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Search Assistant\ACMru\5603]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Search Assistant\ACMru\5603]
***************************************************************

Once the lines have been pasted into Notepad, go to File>Save As, name the
file ACMRU.reg and choose to save the file in Desktop (or to another folder
of your choosing).

When you want to delete your searches, double-click on the ACMRU.reg file,
click on Yes in the "Are you sure you want to add the information to the
registry?" dialogue box, then click on OK in the "Information has been
successfully added" dialogue box.
