Hi
Is it OK (safe) to delete all of the entries under Domains in: HKCU/software/microsoft/windows/current version/internet settings/zonemap/domains? Everything there seems to be nothing but junk related to gambling, sex, etc. I have no idea how all this crap got there
Thanks for any guidance, Old Mountain Ma

Hi,

If you have ie-spyad or another spyware protector, it put these
entries here so if anyone inadvertently goes to these sites, Internet
Explorer will have the most secure settings and won't allow any
malware to install. It puts these sites in the restricted zone.

So, paradoxically as it may seem, these entries are there for our
protection and should be left there.

Hope this helps

Hi Roger

I don't have ie-spyad, but I do have Spybot S&D, PestPatrol and SpywareBalster. So, all these entries (some 1399) have been put there to ptotect me? Wow! I learned something today. Thanks, Old Mountain Man

Yes, I have ie-spyad and I have all those entries too.
If one goes unwittingly to one of these places then they are powerless
to install dialers and so on because they are in the restricted zone.
