I have some suspicious apps running. When I try to delete file I am
prevented I guess as its running.
I used MSCONFIG and removed from Startup and rebooted..
but still the app would not delete.

How can I delete program that is running in memory?

thank you

reboot into Safe mode - as PC boots, press F8 about twice per second.
then choose SAFE from menu.

then after boot is complete, you can Msconfig to kill those apps.
Then go and delete them. you should do a web search on each name to
get an idea if they are bad.

but also make sure to do a thorough AdAware and Spybot cleaning of the
PC before blindly killing apps. you might lose something important..

good luck

What is the app? DO you believe it to be malwaare?
Have you run ad-aware and/or spybod S&D to detect and eradicate it?

It deeply depends on the app. His post was fair. You can try ending the
process via the Task Manager and removing it from the Local Machine or
Current User runkey. Other than that you will need to run a cleaner to give
you the path to its original, from there it will be either Add or
Remove/System or System32.

Did you try? Don't tell me can't till you try. Being an active program won't stop renaming.

oh...yea...i tried.......I tried everything I know of.....I cant get rid of
it
