I'm using windows xp professional. I would like to delete
the windows logon password, so that I no longer receive a
prompt for a password {not necessary as I'm only one
using the computer}. I searched google a bit and couldn't
find how to do this. Can you help?

My email is (e-mail address removed)

How to Enable Automatic Logon in Windows XP

Easy Alternative:

Download and install TweakUI:

Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP (TweakUI)
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

After installing, go to Start > Programs > PowerToys for Windows XP >
TweakUI. Expand "Logon", click on "Autologon" and place a check
next to "Log on automatically at system startup", then click "apply".

Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete press change password and enter a
blank password! Should work. If not there is a way of
keeping the password, but automatically making the pc
login on startup, can't remember how *g*.
