Deleting Local folders in OE

Hello

I have stopped using Outlook Express as my email program, and I now want to
use it only as a newsreader.

Can I delete "Local Folders" therefore getting rid of my inbox, drafts ,
sent etc folders. And if so, how do I do it?

Because the Outbox is still used when sending newsgroup posts. The Sent
folder still records those posts that you sent. The Local Folders
folder is not just for e-mail.
