What is the key to hold down when moving the mouse to delete some files but
not all of them When this is done just the files iI want to delete will turn
blue. I have done this before but can not remember what key to hold down.

CTRL + click to select non-contiguous files.

SHIFT + click to select contiguous files.

ctrl will mark the files you select via mouse.

shift will mark the files you roll over with an arrow key.

Crtl/A will select all files, then press Ctrl as you click to deselect
files. It's a toggle, so you can click again to change whether a file
is highlighted.
