I have tried to delete a file from Documents and Settings folder. I click on
the properties and It states that there are no files under this folder. I
click to access the folder it states that it is not accessible. There are no
permissions set on this folder. I have ran a software program called R-Studio
NTFS. There are numerous files that are under this folder that I cannot
delete. And Its driving me up the wall..lol So wondering how can I access all
these files to delete them from my hard drive.

Any Suggestions would be appreciated.... Thanks in Advance..

When you start the computer are you able to log on as the Administrator
or as a different user?

presuming that u know how to work ur way across directories using
command prompt, do this:

go to start->run. type 'command' (without the inverted comma). hit
enter

once the console comes up, work ur way to the directory where the files
to ve deleted are located.
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del and from the processes tab select 'explorer.exe' and
right click on that and select 'end process'. once done return back to
the console and delete the files that u wud want to delete using the
del command. once all files within a particular directory have been
removed (deleted) go one directory level up and remove the empty
directory. when done, press Ctrl+Alt+Del once again and click 'new
task'. in the box that comes up type 'explorer' and hit enter. u r done
now.
Hope this solves ur problem. Enjoy

I have a very similar problem to the thread starter.

I have a folder on my desktop which has another folder in it, this folder
has another two folders in that.

All four folders have 0bytes against them.

How do I go about deleting these programs by using the 'cmd' way (tell me
step by step) bearing in mind I need to get to the desktop where they are
displayed.

BTW, I have tried dragging and dropping them into the RECYCLE BIN and aalso
tried to right click them and DELETING them, both these ways will not allow
me to do the necessary!!!!!
