Deleting error log

In an effort to clean and speed up my computer, I have Copied the error log
to Word (117 pages!!), then to a zip folder, and saved it on a CD. Now, how
do I delete or clear the original file? Any other clean-up tips would be
appreciated. BeLarc Advisor shows MANY old versions of updated programs
still there. Thanks, nana-to-my grandbabies

Try using SpyBot S&D, it gets rid of most of the log files for me.
Another program though shareware is System Mechanic Pro

It is the error log in Advanced System Information, in Windows Help and Support. Thanks for your help!
