Hello,
I have an older version 7.0 of AOL which I have been unable to delete.
I have tried all the usual ways including trying from Safe Mode.
The message is always the same which is "access is denied ...Make sure the disk is not full or write protected and that the file is not currently in use."
Thanks.

You don't delete a program, you uninstall it. But, by trying to delete the
folders, you have probably broken the uninstaller.

Good luck!

It has been my experience with AOL, that even if you use their uninstaller,
it NEVER completely uninstall their software as it has tenticles throughout
the entire system. I have even seen several times when just uninstalling
AOL causes the entire system to become unstable and do very odd things.
I have found that the only true way to uninstall AOHELL is to format the
drive and reload fresh.

Greetings --

Sadly, the only practical way I've ever found to _completely_
remove AOL from an operating system is to format the hard drive and
perform a clean installation. It takes a lot less time than
manually removing/replacing all of the Windows system files that AOL
replaces with their own versions and the hundreds of registry entries.

I can't begin to count the number of times I have had to do that on clients
machines (-:
