I downloaded "surf ghost"a while back and can't get rid of
it.I have ad-aware and it catches it sometimes but it
keeps coming back. The index is one of the culprits that
won't delete. I get a message "cannot delete index because
it could be in use access denied"It seems to be attached
to internet explorer. It is in C:\Program
Files\surfghost\temp\cache. Does anyone know anything
about this item and how to get rid of it?Thank you in
advance.Allan.

This was discussed recently at SpywareInfo.com. Here's the thread:
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/index.php?showtopic=12379&st=15

The solution appears to have been to download DrDelete from
http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,7374516~root=sware~mode=flat
Use that to delete the SurfGhost Program Files folder, then use your
registry editor to find and delete any reference to SurfGhost (*after*
exporting a backup copy of the registry!)

If you're not comfortable with REGEDIT, please be very careful and/or get
help.

Hope this helps,
Don
