We recently had a third party organization come in to
update some workstations. In their efforts to change
login names but maintain the same desktop settings, they
copied user profiles to the network, deleted the profile
on the workstation and then tried to copy the network
profile back to the new user profile on the workstation.
However, somewhere in the process they lost or deleted the
outlook pst files for these workstations and three years
of email and contacts have been lost!
Obviously they should have exported these files before
going through this process, but does anyone have any idea
if these can be recovered and if so how? Thanks.
