Deleted Items

I have checked the option to "Empty the Deleted Items folder upon exiting",
but when I exit Outlook 2007 the folder is not emptied. I have to do this
manually.

I am running Outlook 2007 on Vista Ultimate.

I suspect, then, that Outlook isn't closing. The next time you try this,
use Task Manager to see if there is still an existing "outlook.exe" process
running. If so, then write back because you have a problem different than
the one you're posting now.
 
Thanks Brian. I have actually solved the problem. I ran scanpst on the .pst
file, and that seemed to clear up all the problems.
