Thanks. I tried that but the advanced tab does not show the option to empty
the deleted items on closing.
What am I missing?

OK, I got it!
Thanks again.

Hi Bob,

You cannot get rid of it in Windows Mail. However, there is a
workaround. You can set Windows Mail to automatically empty the
"Deleted Items" folder when you exit Windows Mail.

1. Click Tools -> Options
2. Click Advanced tab
3. Click Maintenance button
4. Check "Empty messages from........"
5. Click Close and OK

You can delete items to your "Deleted Items" folder as usuall, but
leave them there instead of manually deleting them. When you exit or
close Windows Mail, the "Deleted Items" will automatically be emptied
without the "Are you sure?".

Hope this helps,
Shawn

No I don't have it. Even though I checked "Empty messages from........" the
folder does not empty when I close Windows Mail. I guess I'll just live with
having to confirm.
