My Norton Antivirus program deleted the following files
that were infected with the backdoor.coreflood virus:
c:\windows\sytem32\avpdoel.exe
c:\windows\sytem32\bovkdwd.dll
c:\windows\sytem32\izodbke.dll
c:\windows\sytem32\izodbke.exe
c:\documents and settings\robert dudka\local
settings\temp\file\izodbke.dll
c:\documents and settings\robert dudka\local
settings\temp\file\bovkdwd.dll

Are any of these files critical to the proper operation of
windows? If so, is it possible to reinstall them without
completely reinstalling Windows?

Thanks,
Tim

Given that none of these files exist on my XP Pro machine, probably not
part of standard XP. I note that they don't turn up on a Google search
either. They also don't show up at Norton's descripton of this virus at
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/backdoor.coreflood.html.

Hard to tell what they are. COuld be anything. My advice is to not
worry about it until some application complains about not having them,
then reinstall that application.
