Deleted files still usable by app

I have deleted an Access database from couple of locations in Windows
Explorer, have put it into a third location. I find that Access can still
find and open all three versions of the database (I know they are different
versions because the data are different), but Explorer denies the two deleted
ones are there. Recycle bin has been emptied. Have rebooted.

Scary.

What can be going on?

You would do better to ask in the Access groups, Access might be running
all kinds of stuff that we don't know much about.

Microsoft.public.access is a likely place

My guess is that the access app is trying to save them to program files,
and that UAC doesn't allow that so it's doing file virtualization.
So they're saved in your user account in the directories that vista uses
for that purpose (can't remember right now)
