Deleted Contacts still show up in my address book.

I am working with Outlook 2000 on XP. I have deleted several contacts and
yet when I prepare an email I still find them on my address book list. I
looked at properties and the address is still there. If I click on delete in
the address list it goes away. Why does it show up there at all once I have
deleted it.

Something does not fit here. Remember that there is no data in the Outlook
Address Book. It can only display what resides in Contacts Folders.
Post your mail support mode.
Post the steps used to delete the Contact.
Post how you are invoking the address book view.
Ensure that the Contacts Folder from which you deleted the Contacts is the
one you are displaying in the address book view.

You mean, when you click the "to" button they still show up? How many
contacts folders do you have?
