A watermark is just a graphic anchored to the header. Word 2002 and above
make it easier to insert watermarks but sometimes more difficult to remove
them. Here's how:
1. View | Header and Footer.
2. If you have more than one section, or more than one header per section
(using "Different first page" or "Different odd and even"), you may have to
click Show Next or Show Previous to get to the header to which the watermark
is anchored.
3. When the watermark is displayed on the screen, click on it and press
Delete.

I created a watermark in Word and I went to uncheck it "(No Watermark")
and the watermark isn't going away. I tried a couple of things that the
Microsoft Help Center suggested, and those didn't work either - any ideas???
