Delete Title Page from Story files

Using Word 2007, I want to delete title pages from stories. I have spent 4
hours now, and have not figured it out. This version is so different from
previous versions.

I presume you have tried selecting your title page and hitting "Delete" on
the keyboard and then encountered some undesired results/behaviour.

So, tell us exactly what you have tried, the observed results and the
expected results.
 
Select everything on that page and hit the delete key. Nothing different
from past versions.
 
Thank you JoAnn. I tried that way before and it did not do it. Tried again
after your reply, still nothing. Remembered reading about an hour ago to be
in draft mode for editing -- it clicked with me, went to draft, hi lighted
the title page and hit delete. It disappeared. Then did the same to the
page break line and it disappeared. Guess I should have called my 8 yo
grandson in 4 hours ago. An ole dog needs showing and showing again to catch
onto this new flanged stuff. Thanks again.

Hi Jean, Thanks for responding. With JoAnn's response earlier today, and my reading up on deleting title pages in the online help section, it finally clicked with this ole dog. Isn't it wonderful when the light finally comes on?

To have a story with a title page attached from a previously saved file and
adding more stories I wanted to delete the title pages. I go to the title
page, click on the view tab and click on Draft, hi light top to bottom of the
title page and the page break line, then press the Delete key. WALLA, the
title page is gone and the pages of the story renumber, making the first page
of the story page 1 as I wanted it to be numbered when the title page was
there. Now, when the time comes to put all the stories together as chapters
I suppose it will renumber again, but that is far down the road for now.
