DELETE recent files

Can somebody tell me how to empty the "recently opened files" wich can be
found at the right top side when pressing "start"?
 
Right click Start button>Properties>(Classic Start Menu) -
Customize>Advanced>Recent Documents>Clear List.

Right-click the Start button and choose Properties.
Click the Customize button.
Click the Advanced tab.
To clear the list, click the Clear List button.
