hi,

We have a retention policy in place where in we do not backup .pst files.
One of our sites use NT backup and we want to run a batch file which deletes
..pst files from the server before the backup starts.

question:
Is there any way by which we will be able to delete the .pst files which are
in use ?

Thanks
Pavan.

What??? Deleting PSTs that are in use is a sure-fire way to corrupt the
email of everyone using those PSTs. In fact, since Outlook opens PSTs in
exclusive mode, I'd be surprised if Windows will even honor the deletion
request. I just tried it and Windows XP, in particular, won't allow the
deletion of an open PST.
