delete problem

I have win xp..when I'm on IE,and go to tools then internet options,then
under the general tab I delete the cookies andthe.historyut when i hit the
delete files tab the hour glass comes up and stays up.i have to bring up
windows task manger to shut it down....it does it everytime..

Try deleting them manually here:

Temp Files: IE/Tools/Internet Options/Delete Temporary Internet Files
Temp Files: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Temp & TIF
Cookies: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Cookies
History: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\History

And/or: Right click your C: Drive/Properties/Disk Cleanup

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.

Note: Update the first two programs, once installed, before running.

Try deleting these items with the Easy Cleaner
(http://www.toniarts.com) or from the Administrator account in the
Safe Mode: "A Description of the Safe Boot Mode Options in Windows XP"
(http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=315222). See Kellys message about
the location of the data on the disk.
