Does anyone know of a way to mass delete rows from an excel spreadsheet?
I've got 5,000 rows I need to delete and don't want to have to click and
drag. Is there a way to mass select?

Assuming for this example that the rows you want to select (for deletion or
any other operation) are Row 1 through Row 5000. Click into the Name Box
(the field located to the left of the formula bar) and type 1:5000 and the
press enter.

Select row 1. Grab the scroll bar and scroll down to row 5000. Holding down
the shift key select row 5000. All the rows from 1:5000 inclusive will now be
selected and ready for you to delete...
