Can not delete emails that have attachments or are large in size. Small
emails I can delete, but not the large files...get an error message: Not
enough memory.
Nothing is in the Deleted folder... is there somewhere else I have to go to
delete files that I do not see???

What happens if you hold down Shift when you try to delete? What version of
Outlook? What type of account?

Hi Again Brian,
Tried to hold the Shift when I clicked on the Delete and no it did not work.
It seems to be the larger emails with pictures and ppt attachments.
Any other ideas?? Outlook 2003 is what I have running on XP.
If I create a folder and put the emails in there then move the folder to the
Delete folder, I can Empty them that way, but it's a pain. What else could
it be.
Thanks for your help and advice.

If this were happening to me, I'd try a new PST.

For Larry and Brian,

I too have a 50MB attachment stuck in my outbox. I can't delete it.
I can't tell from your correspondence w eachother what is or if there is a
solution.

Thank you,

Jeff Sharp

If you have Outlook Web Access, I would remove the emails with large
attachments in this fashion.

It is highly unlikely that a message would get stuck in the Outbox when using
an Exchange account.

All is well now, I just closed out of Outlook and went to my store folder
and deleted my Deleted Items.dbx. Once I launced Outlook again
it restored the Deleted folder.
Thanks for all your help.

Be that as it may, I jumped contexts in this thread and noticed I was
responding to a context on a higher level and that the original problem didn't
involve the Outbox. So, my above post is a non sequitur.

All becomes clear. Outlook doesn't have DBX files. You've been writing about
Outlook Express, which is entirely different from Outlook. No wonder things
were confusing. Next time, be sure to post in the correct newsgroup. Outlook
Express issues belong in microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general, not here.
