Delete and select problems in Word and Windows

Hello

My delete button stopped working and I thought it was due to a program I had
installed which uses Word Macros

Finally, I discovered a way of getting it to work again but now I have a
problem with selecting text.

When I click on a word, several words are selectedd.

It is the same for files on my computer. I click on one and several are
selected.

The problem in Word and the more general problem in Windows are clearly
connected.

Can anyone help?

try finding and deleting the file normal.dot (it will re-create itself when
you start Word)

let us know ..
