I am using Outlook 2003, with an Exchange Server. A while back I imported a
contact list from a public folder, so I could sync them to my PDA. I then
deleted it. Now when I compose an email, and click for "Show Names from
the:", this old, deleted contact list still shows in the drop down list. How
do I delete it?

Open the Address Book. Click Tools>Options. Select the folder you don't
want and click Remove.

no, it's not there. I only see it listed when I am writing a new email, and
click on the "TO" button, and then click in the pulldown of address books to
use. THAT is where this old, already deleted one still is listed.

The easiest way to fix it, then, is to remove the Outlook Address Book
service from your profile, stop and restart Outlook, and then add the
Outlook Address Book service back in.
