delete all text within parenthesis throughout a document

I would like to use search and replace to delete a large number of text
references contained within parenthesis example (Ps 23:1). The text within
the parenthesis changes throughout the document. What search string will find
and replacement all the text within parenthesis?

Edit>Replace>More>Use wildcards

Type: \(*\) in the find what field, leave the replace with field blank
