Is there a way of deleting all comments in a document without having to
individually delete them? (Word XP on Win 2000)

George,

Try Edit>Replace.

Put your cursor in the find what field, click More>Format>Style and click on
the Comment Reference style. Move you cursor to the replace with field.
Next click Replace All.

Greg, this really is a brilliant idea, unfortunately I cannot get it to
work. It finds the Text in the comment, highlights it, but the replace
command does not replace the text (not the comment). I tried a few things
like replacing it with "something" and not just a blank field, but somehow
these comments have a life of their own.
Do you have any other tricks up your sleave?

1. Display the Reviewing toolbar.

2. Click the arrow beside the Reject Change/Delete Comment button to display
the menu.

3. Choose Delete All Comments in Document.

Since I never used Track Changes before Word 2002, I don't know whether this
feature was available in the previous interface or not, but it's certainly
easy in 2002/2003.

This was just too easy, wasn't it? Thanks so much to both of you for your
time and knowledge.
