delete a page

I would like to delete a saved page and have a blank page remain. I think
this was done in 2003 is it possible to do now?
 
Word doesn't understand "pages". Delete all of the text that you no longer
want and save it. You could add a page break before and after if you need to
save that blank page for something else.
 
To add to what JoAnn has said, the task will be easier with nonprinting
marks displayed. Click the ¶ button on the Home tab of the ribbon.
