Do you want to delete the LAN connection that appears in the Network
Connections folder? If so, go to Device Manager and uninstall the
network adapter that the LAN connection uses. On reboot, XP Pro will
reinstall the network adapter and create a new LAN connection.
Run the Network Setup Wizard and select the right options for your
network.
To un-share a shared disk or folder, right-click it, click Sharing and
Security, and click "Do not share this folder".
Not sure what you mean by "shared programs".
